Life definitely takes priority over blogging which is why gaps will be plentiful with this blog! This post, for example, was written over two weeks ago, but I am just now able to tend to it.
In my wildest thoughts I imagine taking advantage of keeping a journal via keyboard and internet because, for me, it is an easier avenue than pencil to paper. Still, there are so many responsibilities to tend to each day so grand goals often go uncrossed on my to-do list. They will, however, remain on my get-to-eventually list!
I will catch up on missed post ideas and photos, but today I share a few photos of my family!
May 30th, 2014 marked 30 years that I have been married to my Mr., Juaquin. Our 30th was made wonderful by the visit of our oldest son, Joshua, his wife, Sarah and our daughter, Jana. You see, our children of three are incredible, independent young adults that we manage to stay close with through visits and modern avenues of social media. Sadly, our youngest son, Seth and son-in-law, Stephen were unable to visit due to military commitment.
Joshua and Sarah drove up on Thursday afternoon from Austin and grabbed Jana from DFW airport. The following few days we spent time visiting Denton’s historic town square that included a yummy lunch at Rooster’s Roadhouse, some window shopping and homemade ice-cream at Beth Marie’s.The kids, and grand-dog, Bear cooled off in the pool throughout the weekend, and we were treated to a delicious home-made dinner (on Saturday) of chicken fajitas, various salsas, sides and key-lime pie! Sarah was the lead chef while Jana and Josh offered assistance as she needed. What a team and what a great gift for me and Juaquin. We are truly blessed with some pretty amazing children!
